Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi court today as Enforcement Directorate custody ends

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is set to be produced in Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday, as his custodial remand with the Enforcement Directorate comes to an end today. This comes a day after the Aam Aadmi Party supremo was denied immediate relief from the Delhi High Court, which said it would not interfere with his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate.

On Wednesday, Arvind Kejriwal's wife, Sunita, claimed her husband would do a "big expose" on the alleged irregularities in the liquor policy case, in the court on Thursday.

She also claimed that no money was found in multiple raids conducted by the central probe agency on the premises of Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and Satyendar Jain.

Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 and was subsequently remanded to the probe agency's custody till March 28 by a Delhi court.

The Chief Minister had moved the high court last week with his petition but according to highly-placed sources, his request for an urgent hearing was turned down as the high court was closed for Holi.

Following his arrest, his party leaders took to the streets for massive protests and sloganeering. Meanwhile, the BJP leaders and workers protested outside the Delhi Assembly demanding Kejriwal's resignation.

On Wednesday, the Aam Aadmi Party hit out at the Enforcement Directorate, claiming the agency had no reply to the questions raised by the Chief Minister's lawyers in the High Court over his arrest.

The BJP, however, claimed that Kejriwal failed to get relief as the Enforcement Directorate had "concrete" evidence against him and said that the last chapter of Kejriwal's "politics of deception" will start in the coming days.

The case pertains to the alleged corruption and money laundering in formulating and executing the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22 which was later scrapped.

Top AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are in judicial custody in the case.
