launches next month. If you plan on buying one, you might need to be quick as it is expected to fly off the shelves upon the launch. Analyst

Ming-Chi Kuo

predicts that Vision Pro will sell out shortly after its release.
Kuo shared on social media that Apple is producing the upcoming headset in limited numbers. The estimated production quantity is between 60,000 to 80,000 units.

According to Kuo, the Vision Pro will be in high demand despite its price tag of $3,499 and sell out quickly upon launch.
Even though Apple has not yet specified the primary uses for the Vision Pro headset and its high price, the headset's innovative technology should be enough to convince Apple's loyal customer base to purchase the headset, leading to a shortage of the device in the first few weeks.
“Although Apple has not clearly defined the product positioning and key applications of Vision Pro, and there are doubts [because] the price is not cheap, the user experience (e.g., giving users the illusion that they can control the user interface with their minds) created by the groundbreaking technology innovations, along with the base of core fans and heavy users, should make it easy to sell out after the release,” wrote Kuo.

Kuo had previously predicted that the headset would sell out during pre-orders due to high demand, and he expects there will be long shipping delays after the initial launch period.
Vision Pro is said to be the first major product launch since the Apple Watch. Analysts are not betting big on Vision Pro since they believe it will not have a significant impact on Apple's revenue in the near future.
Due to the complexity of manufacturing, Apple is expected to produce fewer than 400,000 Vision Pro headsets in 2024.

Kuo also believes that the initial batch of Vision Pro headsets might sell out quickly. However, it is uncertain if the demand for the product will continue after the initial excitement fades away. The sales will rely on the correct positioning of the product and its key features from Apple, notes the analyst.
Vision Pro is scheduled to go on pre-orders next week on January 19, and the sales begin February 2. The

Vision Pro sales

remain limited to the US, and there is no word on when the headset will be made available in other markets.
