Apple Music Classical expands to China, Japan, and four other Asian markets

Apple Music Classical

is now available for pre-order on the

App Store

in Japan, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. The app requires an Apple Music

subscription

and is set to release on January 24. It was first launched in March 2023, in 28 regions, including India.

With Apple Music Classical, Apple Music subscribers can easily find any recording in the world's largest classical music catalogue with a fully optimised search. They can enjoy the highest audio quality available and experience many classical favourites in a whole new way with immersive Spatial Audio. They can also browse expertly curated playlists, insightful composer biographies, and descriptions of thousands of works.

Apple Music Classical has the world's largest classical music catalogue, with over 5 million tracks and thousands of exclusive albums. The search function is designed for classical music and lets users search by composer, work, opus number, conductor, artist, instrument, and even a work's nickname. Apple Music Classical features over 700 playlists, audio guides, track-by-track commentary, hidden gems, composer-undiscovered playlists, and an extensive Browse tab.

Apple Music Classical provides lossless audio of up to 24 bit/192 kHz throughout the service. Hi-Res Lossless mode delivers crisp and clear sound while Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos offers an immersive 360-degree soundscape. Apple Music Classical also offers exclusive new artwork, including playlist covers and high-resolution digital portraits of famous composers.
Apple Music Classical partnered with top classical institutions worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and more. They offer exclusive, unique content and recordings at launch and beyond.
