Condolence meeting of late Ghazal Maestro Padmashree Pankaj Udhas was held at trident Hotel , Nariman point on 2nd March 2024.

Prominent personalities, friends and family members including his wife Farida Udhas, daughters Reva and

Nayaab Udhas

and son in law Ojas Adhiya were present at the touching get together to pay respects to the late ghazal maestro.
Popular singers Anuradha Paudwal, Sonu Nigam, Talat Aziz, Alka Yagnik, Nitin Mukesh, Madhushree and Abhijeet Bhattacharya were in attendance.

Several other celebrities, musicians and singers who also graced the meeting, included Jackie Shroff, Sivamani, Manhar Udhas, Nirmal Udhas, Rekha Bhardwaj, Pandit Satish Vyas, Mitali Singh, Gino Banks, Mahalakshmi Iyer and Prachee Shah Pandyaa.
Rekha Bhardwaj said, “He was inspirational and was keeping Ghazal alive. I am going to miss him and also his music. He as a good human being and we must continue doing what his dream was.”
At the event his daughter Reva said, “He never forced us into music, it was everything about what you wanted. I never heard him saying any wrong words. He was such a bright light for us and he was a great believer and he treated us like his sons. His dedication to his family and his in-laws was something I don't think anybody has. He never forgot his roots and would say that no matter what you do, music will find a way to reach you. We admired his judgement about the audience. He would say, ‘I am what I am today because of the audience so I can’t say no to them. For Nayaab and me our parents are everything for us, they are our real heroes.”
