Ankita Lokhande recalls Comedy Circus days; says 'Kapil meri bahut taang kheechta tha paise toh sabse zyaada leti hai par comedy hum karte hain'

Bharti Singh

and husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa's latest podcast episode. Accompanied by her husband Vicky Jain, she reminisced about her journey in Bigg Boss 17 and shared insights into her relationship with her in-laws, among other topics.

During the interview, Bharti's husband recalled the time when Ankita tried her hands at

Comedy Circus

and how

Kapil Sharma

would often complain of the

Pavitra Rishta

actress getting more payment than others.
Haarsh Limbachiyaa, who was one of the writers of Comedy Circus mentioned that Ankita Lokhande was a part of the comedy show while shooting for Pavitra Rishta as Archana. He further revealed Ankita had shot for only two episodes. Bharti jokes and remembers the time when Ankita was basking in the success of Pavitra Rishta. She says, "We were told bhai Ankita Lokhande aayi hai… and we would sit there in weird makeup which was part of gags and Ankita would arrive wearing leather pants, looking stylish."
Haarsh added, “Ankita was such a huge star and we would feel Ek jhalak mil jaaye and we used to write for her. She was Kapil Sharma (bhai’s) partner. Ankita recalls that she had to quit the show as she was suppose to travel to South Africa. I had leave the show midway.
Bharti quickly interrupts asking really I thought you left the show due to attitude issues (laughs). Ankita clarifies, "At that point of time Bharti I was shooting day in and day out for both the shows. Bharti pata hai I used to shoot for Pavitra 9 to 9 and then would travel to the shoot location of Comedy Circus and would shoot the entire night with them. I used to prepare two acts in one night and it was very tough."

Bharti goes on to reveal that’s Ankita was the highest paid. “Aur sabse mehengi,” says Ankita.
The Manikarnika actress says, “Woh toh Kapil ne harr jagah bola hai, paise toh humein nahi pata kitna leti hoon par comedy karrti nahi. He would pull my leg a lot.”
Haarsh reveals further, she was paid more than Kapil bhai. He would say that we are doing the actual comedy than why are the taking such money.

For the uninitiated, Ankita was replaced by Shweta Tiwari in 2011. She was comedy king, Kapil Sharma's partner. Years later she arrived on The Kapil Sharma Show as a guest promoting her film Baaghi and to also talk about daily soaps.
