’ fame actress is gearing up to contest in the
Lok Sabha election
this year too.
Since her name was announced as a candidate for the upcoming election, she has left no stone unturned to prove her mettle. But amidst back-to-back campaigns and rallies, Saayoni has finally found some respite in music. Once done with the day’s work, the actress recently was seen singing her heart out with her close acquaintances. Saayoni herself posted the clipping of her singing a well-known Bengali song on her Instagram page.
On March 8, Saayoni Ghosh’ name was announced as the candidate to contest from the
Jadavpur constituency
. Since then, Saayoni has been seen attending multiple meetings, and walking in several rallies – all the while, connecting with the commoners. She recently visited Baruipur, where she even acquired the new skill of making momos from the women's self-help group.
Shortly after joining the party, Saayoni was appointed as the president of the youth wing of a prominent political party. Saayoni contested in the 2021
Legislative Assembly
election. Unfortunately, she was defeated by a candidate from an opposing party, but this setback did not deter her spirit. Since then, the actress has been actively involved in working with her party colleagues. Due to her dedication and hard work, she was later appointed as the president of the youth wing of the party. Now, three years later, the actress known for her role in 'Aparajito' is gearing up to contest her second election this year.
