IPL 2024

following their defeat against Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator, a few of the comments made by

Ambati Rayudu

have riled up RCB and its fans; and on Friday, the retired Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman took another dig with a social media post.
"My heart truly goes out to all the rcb supporters who have passionately supported the team over the years.

If only the management and the leaders had the teams interests ahead of individual milestones...rcb would have won multiple titles," Rayudu wrote.

Notably, RCB icon

Virat Kohli

heads the list of season's top run-getters with 741 runs in 15 innings, but after 17 seasons with the franchise, he is yet to lay his hands on an IPL trophy.

"Just remember how many fantastic players have been let go off. Force your management to bring players who will put team's interests first. A great new chapter can start from the mega auction," Rayudu further wrote, advising the RCB management.
Rayudu was part of the title-winning CSK team in his last season with the franchise in 2023 before retiring. It was CSK's record-equalling fifth IPL title, matching Mumbai Indians's five triumphs.

Earlier, Rayudu indirectly poked RCB by sharing a video on Instagram, possibly in response to RCB's exuberant celebrations after eliminating CSK to secure a spot in the IPL 2024 playoffs. The video showed CSK players celebrating after winning their fifth IPL title last year.
"Just a gentle reminder...," Rayudu captioned the video.
The former CSK batter also lashed out at RCB after their defeat against Rajasthan in the Eliminator, saying aggressive celebrations don't win you trophies.
"If you talk about RCB today, it shows that only passion and aggressive celebrations don't win you trophies. You need to plan. You didn't get the IPL trophy just by reaching the playoffs. You have to play with the same hunger. Don't think you will win the IPL trophy just by beating CSK. You will have to come next year once again," Rayudu had said on Star Sports.
