Addiction fallout: Wife kills hubby for drinking habit in Haryana’s Kaithal district

KAITHAL: The

Kaithal police

arrested a woman for killing her husband following his alleged

drinking habit

. The accused has been identified as

Kiran Bala

, a native of Bata village in Kalayat town of

Kaithal district

.
The deceased had married Kiran Bala of Chochra village of Karnal district 12 years ago. They had two children including a six year old boy and eight years old daughter.

He used to run a

confectionary shop

at his house located in his own Bata village in Kaithal district.
When Nant Ram, elder brother of the deceased reached at his house to know his well-being, the victim lady told him that his brother is on rest at charpoy after he fell down from stairs. When he reached near the charpoy, his head was bleeding and neck was turning blue. Thereafter, he informed other family members who took the victim to the hospital where doctors declared him dead, said Shiv Kumar, inspector at Kalayat police station and investigation officer in the case.
Police spokesperson Praveen Kumar informed that when police investigated the matter, it came to light that the accused woman killed the deceased by hitting sticks-batons on his head.
She was upset with his drinking habit and behavior after consuming liquor. Police have recovered sticks and batons used in the crime. She was produced in the local court which sent him to judicial custody, said police spokesperson.
