During the announcement, Abhishek playfully teased
Varun Dhawan
, saying, "You're my inspiration. I want to be like you." Varun humorously replied, "That's not true. You're our inspiration." Abhishek then quipped, "Give me your directors or give me your dad." To which Varun responded in jest, "You give me your dad, then."
Speaking of the film, Shoojit Sircar said, “I always try to pick subjects from ordinary lives and make those characters extraordinary.
Through them, I just want to make you smile, looking at life. All these characters are somehow related to me, I have lived with them. I can assure you, the film will make you feel warm.”
