while checking them in view of the upcoming general elections. On Thursday, police seized Rs 10 lakh from a vehcile near
Bargarh
town.
In the first incident on Friday morning, police seized Rs 6,52,800 cash at Dava Chowk under Jharbandh police station limits. Two persons in the vehicle, Mitrabhanu Sahu and Manoj Sahu of Balangir, have been detained by police.
In the second incident, Padampur police, during vehicle checking at a check post near Gadbhati Chowk in Padampur, intercepted a pick-up van and seized Rs 1,00,500 from the driver.
Police detained the driver, Sheikh Rafique.
