that struck Ishikawa Prefecture early Monday morning at around 6.31 am, according to

Tthe Authorities have confirmed that there is no risk of a
tsunami
following the seismic event.
The earthquake's epicentre was located at a depth of approximately 10 kilometres. The cities of Wajima and Suzu in Ishikawa Prefecture experienced strong tremors, registering an intensity of upper 5 on Japan's seismic scale.
Noto town also felt significant shaking, with an intensity of lower than 5.
The quake's impact extended to other areas, with Nanao city and Anamizu town in Ishikawa Prefecture, as well as some parts of Niigata Prefecture, experiencing tremors at an intensity of 4.

Railway temporarily halted services on the Hokuriku Shinkansen and Joetsu Shinkansen bullet train lines due to a power outage. However, NHK reported that the services resumed at 6.50 am.
