BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police arrested two men in Brooklyn who are accused of having 13 fake license plates and a knife in their possession on Wednesday, according to the NYPD.
Officers stopped a 2008 Honda driven by Bonezlee Nimmons, 65, near Batchelder Street and Avenue Y for a broken headlight around midnight.
Police found that Nimmons did not have a valid driver's license and he had cocaine in his pants pocket, so he was placed into custody.
William Seyfried, 34, who was also in the car and not wearing a seatbelt, was also taken into custody. Police later found that Seyfried had an active bench warrant.
Police said that after they searched the car, they found 12 fake license plates from Texas and one from California and a knife.
Nimmons is being charged with possession of a forged instrument, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operator, according to police.
